More about giving
Where your donation goes
Enthrone Initiatives is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Every donation we receive is recorded in a public ledger that anyone can read — not a summary published once a year, but the individual entries: what came in, what was committed to which programme, and what was actually spent.
If you would rather see how we spend before you decide to give, start with our transparency page instead of this one. It is the same information we work from.
Choosing where your gift goes
You can give to the general fund or direct your gift to a particular piece of work.
- A general donation goes wherever the need is greatest at the time. This is the most useful gift we receive, because it lets us respond to what a community tells us rather than to what happens to be well funded.
- A designated gift to an initiative — Orphan Care, Widow Support, School Renovations, Women Empowerment Programs, Borehole & Water Access, or Rural Development — is committed to that programme area and spent only there.
- A gift to an event or emergency appeal funds that specific response, such as the Benue & Plateau Emergency Appeal.
Designations are honoured, not treated as a preference. When you designate a gift, that designation is recorded against it in the ledger, and the spending that follows is published under the same heading, so you can check for yourself that the money went where you sent it.
Other ways to give
Not every gift has to go through this page. You can post a cheque made payable to Enthrone Initiatives Inc. to 214 Amherston Dr, Williamville, NY, United States — please include your email address if you would like a receipt. For bank transfers, donor-advised funds, or corporate matching, write to donation@enthroneinitiatives.org and we will send you whatever your provider needs.
If your employer uses Benevity, you can find us there to give and to log volunteer hours, and claim any matching your company offers without leaving their portal. We also receive gifts through the Blackbaud Giving Fund. Offline gifts are entered in the same public ledger as online ones.
Why monthly giving helps most
Almost nothing we do finishes in a month. A borehole is surveyed, drilled, capped and handed to a trained community water committee. A cooperative is formed, registered, and supported until it can borrow on its own account. A child's school fees arrive every term, not once.
Two boreholes have been completed on exactly that pattern, and 3,000 people now draw their water from them.
A monthly gift, even a small one, is what lets us commit to that kind of work before all of the money is in the bank. It is the difference between planning a year and reacting to a quarter.
Tax, receipts and security
Enthrone Initiatives Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Our EIN is published in the footer of every page. A receipt is emailed as soon as your gift is processed; if you need a consolidated statement for a tax year, ask at donation@enthroneinitiatives.org.
Card payments are processed by Stripe over an encrypted connection. We never see or store your card details. If you choose to give anonymously, your name will not appear publicly anywhere — we still email your receipt, and the gift still appears in the ledger, recorded without a name.
