Donation Policy
Last updated: March 2026
1. General Policy
Enthrone Initiatives Inc. (EIN available upon request) is a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization under the Internal Revenue Code. All donations made to Enthrone Initiatives are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
We accept donations via credit card, debit card, and bank transfers through our secure payment processor (Stripe). All payment processing is subject to Stripe's terms of service.
By making a donation, you confirm that the funds are from legal sources and that you are authorized to make the donation from the payment method you use.
2. Refund Policy
All donations to Enthrone Initiatives are generally non-refundable. We commit every dollar received to program delivery as quickly as possible, making refunds operationally difficult.
Exceptions: we will issue a refund in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate charges (e.g., a technical error resulted in your card being charged more than once for the same donation)
- Unauthorized charges (if you believe a charge was made without your authorization)
- Data entry errors resulting in an incorrect amount (must be reported within 7 days)
To request a refund under one of these exceptions, contact us atfinance@enthroneinitiatives.org within 30 days of the transaction date. Include your name, email, transaction date, and reason for the request.
Refund requests are reviewed within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
3. Recurring Donations
Monthly (recurring) donations are automatically charged to your payment method on the same day of each month as the original donation date.
Cancellation: You may cancel your recurring donation at any time with no penalty. To cancel:
- Log into your donor account at enthroneinitiatives.org/dashboard
- Navigate to "My Donations" and find your active recurring donation
- Click "Cancel Recurring Gift"
Alternatively, contact us at finance@enthroneinitiatives.org and we will cancel it for you. Cancellations must be received at least 3 business days before the next scheduled charge to take effect for that billing cycle.
Cancelled recurring gifts will not be refunded for charges that have already been processed.
4. Tax Receipts
A donation receipt is automatically sent to the email address you provide at the time of donation. This receipt serves as your record for tax purposes.
Receipts include:
- Enthrone Initiatives Inc. name, address, and EIN
- Date of donation
- Amount donated
- Statement that no goods or services were provided in exchange for the donation (unless applicable)
If you did not receive your receipt, check your spam folder. To request a resend or correction, contact finance@enthroneinitiatives.org.
Donor account holders can download PDF receipts for all past donations from their dashboard at any time.
5. IRS Acknowledgment for Donations of $250 or More
Under IRS regulations, donors who make a single contribution of $250 or more are required to obtain written acknowledgment from the charitable organization to claim a tax deduction.
For qualifying donations, Enthrone Initiatives will automatically provide written acknowledgment including:
- The amount of cash contributed
- A description of any non-cash property contributed
- Whether any goods or services were provided in exchange (and if so, the estimated fair market value)
- A statement that no goods or services were provided if applicable
This acknowledgment is sent to the email address on file. It is the donor's responsibility to obtain this acknowledgment before filing their tax return. Enthrone Initiatives cannot provide tax advice; please consult a qualified tax advisor.
6. Anonymous Donations
You may choose to make your donation anonymously at the time of checkout. When anonymous:
- Your name will not appear in any public donor acknowledgments, publications, or recognition lists
- Your name will not be shared with program staff or field teams
- Your email address is still required to send your receipt and will be kept confidential
- Anonymous donations are still tax-deductible and will appear in your donor account if you have one
Note: Internal financial records will still reflect the donation for audit and compliance purposes, but donor identity will not be publicly associated with the gift.
7. Designated vs. General Fund Donations
You may designate your donation to a specific initiative (e.g., Orphan Care, Borehole Building) or project at the time of donation. Designated funds will be directed to the selected program.
If a designated project reaches its goal or is no longer active at the time your donation is received, Enthrone Initiatives will contact you to redirect your gift to a related program or to the General Fund. If we cannot reach you within 30 days, the donation will be directed to the General Fund.
Undesignated (General Fund) donations give Enthrone maximum flexibility to direct resources where the need is greatest. We recommend General Fund giving for maximum impact.
8. Declined Donations
Enthrone Initiatives reserves the right to decline any donation in its sole discretion. We may decline donations from sources that conflict with our organizational values, legal obligations, or regulatory requirements. In such cases, we will notify the donor and return the funds promptly.
