Enthrone Initiatives’ CEO met with widows in Kaduna South to hear directly about the challenges they face and better understand how the organization can provide practical, community centered support.
Enthrone Initiatives’ CEO, Rosemary Oche, recently met with a group of widows in Kaduna South, Nigeria, as part of the organization’s commitment to listening directly to vulnerable communities and developing programs based on their identified needs.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the women to speak openly about the challenges they face in their daily lives, including financial hardship, difficulty meeting basic household needs, caring for children and dependents, and limited opportunities to earn sustainable income.
Rather than arriving with predetermined solutions, Enthrone Initiatives approached the meeting as a community listening session. The women were encouraged to share their experiences, priorities, and perspectives on the types of support that could make a meaningful and lasting difference in their lives.
Information gathered during the discussion will help Enthrone better understand the needs of widows and vulnerable families in Kaduna South and determine where the organization and its partners may be able to provide meaningful support.
At Enthrone Initiatives, we believe effective community development begins by listening to the people we serve. Their experiences and perspectives are essential to designing programs that are practical, respectful, and responsive to the realities of their communities.
This engagement reflects Enthrone Initiatives’ commitment to transparent, community centered development and to working alongside vulnerable communities to identify sustainable pathways toward greater stability and opportunity.
