About these photographs
How these images were made
Where and when these were taken
Every photograph here was taken by our own team or by volunteers during programme work. None are stock images, and none were staged for the website. They come from Benue, Plateau, Kaduna, Kogi, Enugu and Kebbi States in Nigeria, and from Buffalo, New York, where our community food and resource programme serves the West Side.
Between them they cover borehole drilling and handover, school renovation, scholarship and back-to-school distributions, widow support, Easter and Christmas feeding outreaches, and health outreach.
How we photograph the people we serve
We ask before we photograph anyone, and we explain what the picture is for. Nobody is photographed while receiving aid in a way that suggests the aid depended on agreeing to the picture, because it never does.
We do not publish the names of children. We do not use images of people in visible distress to raise money. Where a photograph would identify someone in a way that could put them at risk — particularly in communities affected by the violence in Benue and Plateau — we do not publish it at all, however useful it would be to us.
Anyone who appears in a photograph here, or whose child does, can ask us to remove it at any time and we will, without asking for a reason. Write to info@enthroneinitiatives.org.
Using these images
Journalists, partner organizations and congregations planning to feature our work can download approved photographs, logos and brand assets from our press kit, which carries the permissions already cleared for publication.
Photographs on this page are not licensed for general reuse. If you want to use one and it is not in the press kit, ask us first — the answer is usually yes, but it depends on what the person in the photograph agreed to.
The Stories Behind These Photos
