What We Do

Six Pillars of Impact

Why these six

How our initiatives fit together

Why six, and why these six

These are not six separate charities sharing a logo. They are six areas we arrived at by following the same households through more than one problem.

A borehole looks like a water project until you notice that school attendance rises once girls are no longer walking hours a day to fetch water. Supporting a widow into her own trade looks like a livelihoods project until you notice that her children are the ones who go back to school. Orphan Care and School Renovations meet in the same classroom. Rural Development exists because infrastructure, farming and local enterprise fail or succeed together, not one at a time.

We work across six areas because the families we serve do not experience their difficulties one at a time.

Initiatives and projects

An initiative is ongoing: a programme area we expect to be working in for years. A project is a single bounded piece of work inside one, with a budget, a site and a completion date. Every project belongs to exactly one initiative, and every initiative page lists the projects delivered under it.

Where we work

In Nigeria: Benue, Plateau, Kaduna, Kogi, Enugu and Kebbi States. In the United States: Buffalo, New York, where our community food and resource programme serves the West Side, and where volunteers and partner congregations run outreaches through the year.

Across both countries we have served roughly 4,100 people since 2019 — including 71 or more orphaned children, 150 or more widows, 229 or more students, and 3,000 people now drawing clean water from two completed boreholes. Each of those is a conservative count, which is why the programme figures deliberately add up to less than the overall total.

What “built to last” means in practice

Every initiative has a handover written into it. Boreholes go to trained community water committees with their own maintenance funds. Cooperatives are registered as legal entities so they can borrow without us. Renovated schools are returned to the school committees that run them.

The test we hold ourselves to is not what a programme achieves while we are funding it, but what is still standing five years after we have gone.

Supporting an initiative

You can give to any of the six directly, and your gift will be spent only in that programme area. Spending for each is published in the public ledger under the initiative's name.

Your Gift Changes Lives

Every dollar you give is accounted for and directed toward communities that need it most. Join thousands of supporters transforming futures across the USA and Nigeria.
