Accessibility Statement

Last updated: March 2026

Our commitment: Enthrone Initiatives is committed to ensuring its website is accessible to all people, including those with disabilities. We strive to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards and continually work to improve the accessibility of our digital presence.

Our Commitment to Accessibility

Enthrone Initiatives Inc. believes that digital inclusion is inseparable from our mission of human dignity and community empowerment. We are committed to providing a website experience that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability, disability, age, or technology used.

We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.

What We've Done

To support accessibility, we have implemented the following:

  • Semantic HTML: We use proper heading hierarchy, landmark elements (header, main, footer, nav), and ARIA labels throughout the site.
  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements (forms, buttons, navigation) are operable using a keyboard alone.
  • Focus indicators: Visible focus styles are provided for all interactive elements.
  • Color contrast: We maintain a minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio for normal text and 3:1 for large text against background colors.
  • Alternative text: All meaningful images include descriptive alt attributes. Decorative images have empty alt attributes.
  • Form labels: All form inputs have associated labels and error messages are clearly communicated.
  • Responsive design: The site is usable across a range of screen sizes and viewport configurations.
  • Reduced motion: We respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query, disabling animations for users who prefer it.
  • Skip links: Skip navigation links are available for screen reader and keyboard users.
  • Video captions: Video content includes captions or transcripts where applicable.

Known Issues and Limitations

We are aware of the following known accessibility issues that we are actively working to address:

  • PDF reports: Downloadable PDF reports may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We are working to produce tagged, accessible PDF versions.
  • Complex data charts: Financial charts on the Transparency page are visual and may not convey all data to screen reader users. We are developing text-based data alternatives.
  • Third-party embeds: Some third-party content (including Stripe payment forms) is governed by third-party accessibility standards. We have requested accessibility improvements from our providers.
  • Video player controls: The native HTML5 video player accessibility may vary by browser. We are evaluating accessible player alternatives.

We do not consider any of these issues to prevent users from accessing core content or donation functionality. If you encounter a barrier not listed here, please contact us.

Standards and Conformance

We target conformance with:

  • WCAG 2.2 Level AA (primary target)
  • Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act
  • ADA Title III requirements for website accessibility

We conduct regular manual accessibility testing using screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver) and keyboard-only navigation. We also use automated tools (Axe, Lighthouse) as a supplementary check. External accessibility audits are conducted annually.

Testing We Perform

Our accessibility testing approach includes:

  • Manual keyboard navigation testing on all core user flows
  • Screen reader testing with NVDA (Windows) and VoiceOver (macOS/iOS)
  • Automated scanning with axe-core and Google Lighthouse
  • Color contrast checking using WCAG Color Contrast Checker
  • Mobile accessibility testing on iOS (VoiceOver) and Android (TalkBack)
  • Browser compatibility testing across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge

Assistive Technology Compatibility

This website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers: NVDA + Firefox, JAWS + Chrome, VoiceOver + Safari
  • Screen magnification software
  • Voice control software (e.g., Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Voice Control on macOS/iOS)
  • Keyboard-only navigation without a mouse
  • High contrast mode on Windows and macOS
