2026 Education Scholarship Initiative
Enthrone Initiatives provided educational support to selected students to help reduce financial barriers and support their continued enrollment in school.
About This Event
In 2026, Enthrone Initiatives awarded scholarships to students facing financial challenges. The initiative was created to support continued access to education and help beneficiaries remain enrolled in school.
The scholarships were funded through personal contributions from Enthrone Initiatives’ leadership and members. No public donations were collected for the initiative.
Although the initial scholarships have been delivered, continued financial support is required to help the students remain in school and to extend the program to additional beneficiaries.
Why school fees decide so much
In the communities we work in, a place at school is rarely lost all at once. Fees fall due, a household that is already stretched cannot meet them, and a child is sent home — first for a week, then for a term. Attendance becomes irregular, and then it stops altogether. Preventing that costs a fraction of what reversing it costs later, which is why school fees paid on time are among the most efficient things we fund.
How this was paid for
This programme was paid for entirely by the personal contributions of our leadership and members. No public donation was used and nothing was drawn from the general fund. We say so because it is the same pattern as the work we delivered between 2019 and our 501(c)(3) registration: funded personally, before the organisation could accept donations at all.
What followed
Later in 2026 we delivered the 2026/2027 Enthrone Education Awards, reaching seventy children across Benue, Kaduna and Kogi States with scholarship support and school supplies. That disbursement was funded by donations rather than personally, and the payment is published in our public ledger against the initiative it belongs to.
What continued support does
Support for this programme keeps students already receiving it enrolled through the terms ahead, and extends it to children on the same footing who were not reached the first time. It sits within our wider education work, which has reached 229 or more students since 2019.
